PPI ANNOUNCES EXPANDED RELATIONSHIP WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY SUNRISE, FL, March 26, 2007 — Protective Products International (PPI), a subsidiary of Ceramic Protection Corporation (CPC) and a leading manufacturer and distributor of advanced ballistic protective products, announced today that it has entered into an expanded relationship with Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F). Since 2005, Ford has offered factory-installed ballistic door panels manufactured by PPI in its Crown Victoria Police Interceptor model as a regular production option. These covert ballistic door panels offer a level of protection unmatched by any other OEM police vehicle. With the extra protection at hand, law enforcement officers can swing the front door(s) into action as a tactical shield from incoming projectiles. These ballistic panels are covert (not visible from the outside), lightweight, and don't interfere with interior space or door/window mechanisms. The technology was co-developed and extensively tested by PPI and Ford in conjunction with major police departments in the United States and Canada and with the assistance of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and the NRC Integrated Manufacturing Technologies Institute (IMTI) located in London, Ontario. This expanded relationship with Ford now allows PPI to manufacture, market, sell and distribute ballistic door panel kits for retrofits on 1998 MY through current model year Police Interceptor Crown Victoria vehicles that are currently in service. These ballistic door panel kits will be available through a broad network of Ford authorized dealers and to the aftermarket channel, primarily for police fleet garages and other law enforcement agencies that wish to install these ballistic panels on older model Police Interceptors. Mr. Steve Giordanella, CPC's Chief Executive Officer commented, "We constantly strive to develop new and better ways to protect the law enforcement professional. Our organization is proud to have successfully collaborated with Ford in the development and extensive testing of this unique and state-of-the-art ballistic system, which is specifically engineered for the needs of North American law enforcement agencies. Notably, we have supplied a large quantity of ballistic door panel systems for 2006 and 2007 model year Crown Victoria Police Interceptor vehicles, providing police with enhanced protection from a wide range of ballistic threats, including automatic weapons. This expanded relationship with Ford represents an important development for CPC enabling us to expand and diversify our ballistic systems manufacturing. This is a key and expanding market for CPC."
