PROTECTIVE PRODUCTS AWARDED $46 MILLION U.S. DHS CONTRACT

SUNRISE, FLORIDA, November 27, 2006 — Protective Products International has won a $46-million order to supply protective vests to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's customs and border division. The contract calls for delivery of concealable body armour and dual-purpose armor.

"This order is an important milestone for the corporation because it constitutes a solid step in continuing the growth and diversification in our products and customers," CEO Steve Giordanella said in a release. "The expanding use of our products by the DHS, along with recent sales to the U.S. military, indicates the recognized value of our products at a time when there is an urgent need to protect U.S. military and homeland security personnel."

The first delivery under the contract is expected to begin immediately and the order may extend to 2011.
